- Bug Fixes: Fixed some issues where the software behaved badly if the bypass failed. It also fixed the booting issues for some devices.
- Flashing Fixes: They updated the flashing method to fix write errors that happened with some specific devices.
- Storage & Loader: Fixed the selection of storage types and updated the internal loader database to work better with new firmware.

Real-World Example: Bypassing a Protected Xiaomi Device
Imagine a customer brings you a Xiaomi Redmi Note that is stuck on the "Mi Account Verify" screen. The customer forgot the password, and the phone is locked. They have important photos inside and do not want to lose data.
In the past, this was hard because you might need to flash the whole phone, which deletes data. With UMT QcFire v13.1, you can use the "Xiaomi Free Auth Service".
- You put the phone into EDL Mode (Emergency Download Mode).
- You connect it to your PC running QcFire v13.1.
- You go to the Xiaomi section and choose the Auth Bypass option. You do not need to pick a tricky method; the tool does it automatically now.
- The tool talks to the server and bypasses the security check.
- Once done, you can simply reset the lock or perform a factory reset to make the phone usable again without deleting the user data partition (if the device allows un-encrypted reset).
This saves a lot of time and keeps the customer happy because their photos are safe.
How to Connect Samsung Devices (EDL Method)
Newer Samsung phones are harder to put into EDL mode. The log in the tool has the standard method, but for very new devices, you must follow this steps carefully. It might look tricky, but it works if you get the timing right.
- Hold VOL UP + DOWN buttons on the phone.
- Hold the button on your EDL Cable.
- Insert the cable into the device while still holding the EDL Cable button.
- Now, rapidly click both VOL UP + DOWN at the same time.
- Once you have clicked them more than 3 times, release the EDL Cable button but keep rapidly clicking the VOL UP + DOWN.
- Stop clicking VOLUME buttons only once the device is connected in EDL Mode on your PC.
- Tip: On new firmware, you might need to click the volume buttons rapidly for about 10 to 20 times. Do not give up too soon!
Version Comparison
Previous Version (v13.0):
- Had basic support but lacked the latest Samsung S21 and Z Fold3 bits. The Xiaomi Auth bypass required manual selection of methods, which confused some users.
Current Version (v13.1):
- Adds support for the new Samsung and Xiaomi models. The Auth bypass is now "One Click" with no need to choose methods. Fixes for storage selection and flashing write errors make the tool more stable.
